What's in a name? - Shakespeare
It all started with the .com site
It doesn't apply to the virtual world I guess! A couple of days ago I wrote something about worldguide.com and today I am writing about worldguide.eu

...vast difference it makes! For worldguide.eu and .com site, the name is very important asset. Worldguide.eu came as a pleasant surprise to me. This site, in contrast with the .com site has a very nice, modern theme. I guess there are no similarities between these sites except the names.

www.worldguide.eu is a great community. But beyond the community there is a lot of content researched by editors and specialists. I liked for example an article regarding "dangerous animals in the Indian Ocean". Although a diver for 20 years I could stil learn a lot. Especially the first aid tips.

On first sight it seems to be another luxury site. But it is quite different. All listings are without fees and therefore impartial. But what I liked the most is the real profound content in all fields. Normally the content in other websites is a lot of hot air. At Worldguide this is different. Deeply researched content with a lot of practical tips. Great forums on business etiquette or art. Alternative medicine is also described in an open and also critical way. Well done!
I forgot they have a great map service using Google Maps with some additional features.

Advantages Impartial information, deeply researched Disadvantages Only in English, maybe a bit too premium or luxurious
...New and inspiring combination of community and huge content base. Well researched and written articles from travel to art, from health to beauty to business etiquette. Normally you find just hot air in the internet for free. Here in my point of view it is different. Just read whatever article and find out for yourself. First website where you can rate and comment art addresses.
The community is quite sophisticated. You can see that by reading the forum statements. In business etiquette they have long articles regarding various countries. At the same time they discuss the problems of working together with different nationalities like the Germans for example.
They have excellent buying advisers, unfortunately only for a few products or services so far.
At the end they integrated Google Maps in a great way - even in very remote...

Advantages great impartial information, deeply researched, Disadvantages more for the luxury things in life, so not really useful for everybody.
...Great guide to the finer things in life. Solid and practical information for a lot of different sectors of private life. From travel, art, events to health and fitness. Great and easy navigation and an excellent map service. Even in remote locations in the Caribbean you still see your hotel on a map or a satellite photo. Next to the guide you have full community functions. The community seems to be quite sophisticated, at least by reading some of the comments or forum articles you get this impression. By the way I never saw a website where you can rate or comment art addresses. The guide is good in the USA but also in Europe or Asia. I am a diver for many years but there article regarding dangerous animals in the Indian Ocean or the Caribbean was excellent and I could still learn a lot, especially regarding first aid. Well you have to...
