Tripadvisor.com is a great website to check out if you are planning on taking a trip. I just got back from a trip to Daytona Beach and I went to tripadvisor for all my information beforehand. The site consists of other travelers like myself who have just come back from their trips and they write reviews mainly about their hotel stay. Their reviews steered me in the right direction and I ended up finding a fabulous hotel that I normally would not ...

Well, my sister is a constant traveler. Having worked in many different resorts in different places she has this habit of traveling to different destinations from time to time. I first discovered Tripadvisor when looking for a honeymoon destination. Simply go to the site and type in the place, hotel etc that you want to read reviews on. There are also forums and general information available so you really can get the full picture, however good or bad. First of all, we booked to go to Cuba after reading reviews on the site, the hotel we chose received fantastic, detailed reviews and user opinions on the actual food served and its quality, facilities etc that the shiny brochures seem to gloss over.
