Clemson is about an hour from me. Hateful day when the Gamecocks play the Dawgs at UGA - a massive amount of traffic comes floating down my way, and there is no way to get anything done within a 20mi radius of town. I've been up to Clemson for soccer camps, and they do an absolutely marvelous job with the young players - better than anyone else around. Darn good Ag school, too! As my father would say, "From your fingertips to God's computer screen, may it be so!" I visited him for the first time in 19yrs the 1st of May. Unfortunately, it was a game day, and I'm afraid the game was more interesting than I was. I left early, so he could enjoy the last few innings in peace. Die hard Orioles fans do take the game to the grave. They used to watch the games on small black & white, round screens and drink National Beer, "Brewed on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay". Today fans watch the game in the cool of the living room on the large screen TVs and drink whatever is handy, just as long as they have a cool one in their fists and their eyes on the ball. by menagerie
