Having researched carefully which camera to choose for my first dSLR, I have to say I am not the least bit disappointed with the Canon 40D. It takes crisp, clear pictures without a lot of noise. I found the features easy to use and navigate through. Its lightweight and the design is comfortable to hold. The camera would be perfect for anyone desiring an affordable good quality camera - from beginner to pro.
The initial purchase is a little spendy, but accessories can be purchased over time. Being a beginner myself and using my camera as a hobby, I love the flexibility it gives me to get great shots!
