Before I got the Tom Tom I had to look up the address and print out maps on Mapquest everytime. But now with the Tom Tom I save time and paper. Right now I work for a temp agency which sends me to different places. So, the Tom Tom is a great help. The Tom Tom provides clear directions by voice and audio at a glance. Accurate positioning with easy access to traffic information It also calculates smarter routes which I use to remove freeway driving. ...I have owned my TomTom GPS receiver for nearly a month now and I now wonder how I ever survived without it. The interface is so clearly laid out that I genuinely feel absolutely any body could use this without any problems. I have never had any problems with roads not being found or not being able to detect which road I am currently on as I have with various other brands of GPS receivers. With the job I am in I travel all over the country to a different places and this is without doubt the most reliable I have seen. I have rarely used the traffic warning facility on this due to my normal commuting times being in the early hours of the morning and never having much need to avoid busy highways. I would recommend that every home has 1 of these and if I had to choose between my TomTom and my mobile phone, it would the the TomTom... Read review

...One of outstanding features of the TomTom range of GPS navigation systems in my opinion, are the clear and uncluttered maps, putting it ahead of the competition by a long shot. I love this GPS because of all the POI's (points of interest) built in and how easy it is to update and add more POIs and voices, the screen looks good, and it's pretty easy to learn the touch screen navigation and the device is very portable. The Tom Tom home software was a good idea but it may be too lengthy of a process to make it worth while and I find it rather clunky. The battery life of only 3 hours make it difficult to fully utilize the walking mode of the TomTom which is a pity.... Read review

Whereever you are ,it could help you to find the place you want to go.It is use easily. ...The Tom Tom has been a great help to us in our efforts to navigate the highways and byways. The voice system is very good and the different views are helpful in many situations, and make night driving much easier. The LCD screen is easily readable in most lighting situations. Out of the way points of interest can be a bit off kilter, especially in newly developed areas, perhaps map corrections will fix these minor problems over time, we will see. Our particular unit had a technical glitch that was later corrected by a very easily installed software download with the downloaded Tom Tom Home software. The unit's battery does not hold power for very long, so extra vehicle power points will come in handy.... Read review

...I bought the TomTom GO 720 for my husband and wondered how up to date the maps were, especially living in Hawaii where you are surrounded by nothing but water. But surprisingly enough, it did. Let's just say even though Hawaii is just an island and you wouldn't think that anyone could possibly get lost, but you can. But with the TomTom GO 720, my husband and I have no more worries. There were just a few things that we dislike about this product. The first thing we noticed, is that the battery doesn't really last that long and sometimes it loses its signal which causes the map to freeze up and then you have to put in your destination all over again.... ...Having used version 5 of TomTom for a while, I'd decided to upgrade the software early this year to version 6. Interface wise, it's almost similar to the older version, only with additional improves to its already great features. I must admit, it's quicker at startup than the previous version. One of the new additional feature is the 'arrival time' which shows you whether or not you are early or late according to the time that you have set to arrive to your destination. One of the other new features I have noticed is when you are driving, it'll indicate whether you are over the speed limit or not, which is pretty good to use. Map wise, with the new version, there were new roads added which is great, however as with most GPS software, most of the maps can never be as updated as we want it to be as it'll take them time to go out...
