Advantages: Everything included Disadvantages: None
This printer is an absolutely great buy for all of the things you can do with it. It's got a scanner which with every function on this printer, is very easy to understand. It's got the cool function to edit your photos right on the printer and even the screen that the preview shows up on, is extremely clear. Sometimes you just want to remove the red eyes but don't really want to sit through opening your photo-editing software. This printer removes ... ...love how you can print cd print covers right on the cd and for people who usually can't put things on straight like me, this is an awesome feature. What surprised me was the fact that I can barely hear it print and it prints extremely fast without skimping on quality. It has memory card slots so you can take it right out of your digital camera and print it out. The ink cartridges are considerably less in price than most printers and for a college ...

Advantages: good basic fax, stands up to light office use Disadvantages: difficult to fax a multi page document
I use this fax machine in my office and I have to say that it's one of the most irritating fax machines I have ever used. Yes it gets the job done on both the giving and receiving end of faxes and with the quality you'd expect from Canon. However, if you're planning to fax a document of more than one page, be prepared to get into a wrestling match with this machine as it tries to suck up three pages at once. I've tried "fluffing" the pages so there's ... ...up so the machine can't grab them but I haven't been successful with any of my efforts. The machine is determined to either grab more than one page or punish you for trying to trick it by declaring the fax complete before you can put the next sheet to be faxed in the tray. If you have a lot of patience, this is a good basic fax machine for an office that doesn't do a whole lot of faxing. It seems to stand up to normal wear and tear (again we don't ...

Ok, I'm gonna review another oldie machine that I have. The X1150 is one of the all-in-one devices from Lexmark. I've used this for 2+ years. With just four buttons and a power switch on its control panel, it's very easy to use, relying heavily on drivers provided with it. All documentation, like the software, is provided on a CD.
A single USB cable plugs in at the back to connect the X1150 to your PC and the two small ink cartridges, one black ... ...the scanning bed up on its red support strut. Paper feeds from a near-vertical tray at the rear to a pull-out tray at the front.
In design, the X1150 looks bold with brazen sharp edges. Contributing to the stylish appearance is its sleek grey-and-black color scheme. Beauty is subjective, but I found the design to be functional and novices will have no trouble figuring out how to use the machine.
Whether you're planning to scan, print, fax or copy, ...

3 in 1 Lexmark X 3350 has got a printer, copier, and a scanner. Printing resolution is up to 4800 x 1200 dpi whereby scanning optical resolution is up to 600 x 2400 dpi.
It also comes with document enlargement and reduction function for copying.
I bought this 2 years ago during college time for artwork assignments printing. It was heavy usage during that time. Eversince i graduated, i never use it anymore. Some printer's printer head get spoilt ... ...According to my experience, it still works perfectly until now !
It also come with the OCR (Optical Charactor Recognition) function.
It can actually turn a jpeg of words into an editable format. You can later open it in any text editor software to edit. Base on my experience I would say its 95% accurate. Sometimes is due to low resolution of the original jpeg. For example, the number "5" came out to be "S". ...

Advantages: low budget, multi function Disadvantages: big and heavy, hard to move around
This canon printer is my second printer, I did not have such a good experience with my first HP brand printer, which only last about six months and have the highest number of paper jam that I ever see in my life. But this canon printer corrects it all. This particular printer is a muti functions device that is capable of printing, copying, and scanning documents. I was able to perchased it for only $50 from staples when it was on promotion. Although ... ...this printer for more than a year now and it never jam even once. The only thing I did not like about it is its large size and heavy weight, which makes it hard to carry and takes up space. Also it make some loud noise when it sucks in the paper during printer, so I suggest not to use it around midnight and wake your family.
Overall it is a good printer, great for low budget buyers. ...
