The reason being is that any music that you specifically have on your computer, if you put in on the Zune and then delete it, if you sync it, the next time you plug it in, it's going to delete it. I went through hours of burning music from cds on my computer only to have it be deleted. Now if you keep all music on your computer, you can sync it. It won't effect you.
