Advantages: reliable, easy of use, beautiful Disadvantages: none
I bought Lenovo ThinkVision L190x to replace my original monitor that faded on me within 18 months of purchase. I plugged this monitor into my computer and it was ready to go. The 19-inch widescreen makes for easy viewing on the eye.the colors are crisp and I don't find any bleeding on the edges of the screen. it is so angle that I can rotate the monitor to change from landscape to portrait viewing and the image adjust automatically, so I can see ... ...movies or playing games, the feeling is very comfortable. Its ultra slim bezel is only 6.6 mm wide which can save a lot of space. It pledges to be 3 years warranty, so I can feel relieved.
It is easy to install, even if I'm a computer illiterate, I was able to install it myself, and it worked right out of the box.
I highly recommend this item for both the quality and value. I must say, I got what I paid for. ...

Advantages: Cheap. Disadvantages: A lot to mention.
The Lenovo ThinkVision L171p isn't the greatest monitor I've seen. It's not horrible, but it's not that great, either. Text often appears blurry, and color distinction is just simply.. Not as good as it could be. I've seen much better. Editting pictures using this monitor is quite tricky, even with an advanced user as myself, as the graphics are dull, and almost smudgy. For your everyday basic use, like surfing the web and such things, it'd be alright, ... ...much of this monitor. Also, I found that this LCD flatscreen monitor is awful susceptible (sp?) of interference from other electronic devices, (like speakers and radios.) This monitor is cheaply priced, but the money you save doesn't outweigh the performance level. Basically, I'm saying, Don't waste your time. Opt for something a bit better. ...

Advantages: Looks Sleek, Works Very Well, Saves Space Disadvantages: I found none
I just upgraded my PC with a new Samsung SyncMaster 740N Flat screen monitor. I was using a good old CRT monitor and this is my first LCD display!
Its a good 17 inches entry level LCD monitor which I found comfortably within my budget. I work on designs & animations. I needed a screen which would display good colors. This has got a 600:1 contrast ratio with 8ms response time which removes blurring from movies.
Unlike some other LCDs, ... ...colors and distort the look and feel for my designs. This LCD monitor also has 'on screen' settings for fine tuning it to your needs with little feather touch buttons at the bottom of the screen.
SyncMaster has a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels which gives me a huge work area avoiding a lot of horizontal and vertical scroll, and yes, it saves a lot of space too!
I recommend this LCD. A Great Buy! ...

I bought ViewSonic 19" VA926 LCD for upgrading my Samsung SyncMaster 750s CRT monitor that service me about 5 years.
