Dell's Ultrasharp Widescreen Monitor is Awesome!
Review of Dell UltraSharp 2005FPW by grownupgirlie

Advantages: Excellent quality, widescreen is handy
Disadvantages: You must have good video card to get full benefit

When building our Dell computer, Hubby pushed for the widescreen monitor. While I thought it totally unnecessary at the time, I'm glad I gave into his request. Having this very large screen is so nice. You can have more than one window open and see both at the same time. The resolution is awesome and it's just a matter of time until all the web content will catch up. We happen to have an upgraded video card as well, and this also improves the picture ...
...It comes with two different cables depending on your video card set up. TIP: The instructions direct you to use one cable, but use the other one if your video card allows it - it will give you a higher quality picture. I have owned this monitor for over 2 years and it's working like the very first day. I have no doubts about its durability. As for its footprint, it's actually quite small. While the screen itself takes up a bit of real estate, the ... Read review

Master in it's Class
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 740N by buzzmaker

Advantages: Looks Sleek, Works Very Well, Saves Space
Disadvantages: I found none

I just upgraded my PC with a new Samsung SyncMaster 740N Flat screen monitor. I was using a good old CRT monitor and this is my first LCD display! Its a good 17 inches entry level LCD monitor which I found comfortably within my budget. I work on designs & animations. I needed a screen which would display good colors. This has got a 600:1 contrast ratio with 8ms response time which removes blurring from movies. Unlike some other LCDs, ...
...colors and distort the look and feel for my designs. This LCD monitor also has 'on screen' settings for fine tuning it to your needs with little feather touch buttons at the bottom of the screen. SyncMaster has a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels which gives me a huge work area avoiding a lot of horizontal and vertical scroll, and yes, it saves a lot of space too! I recommend this LCD. A Great Buy! ... Read review

Disadvantages: difficulty permanently resetting the default setting

...time sneak a touch or two. In comparison to the similar Acer model my father owns the HP is a much better product. One feature I haven't figured out is how to permanently set the volume on 100 percent instead of the default 50 percent, no biggie though. ... Read review

Review of LG L1710S by rotz123

Advantages: Slim profile, wall-mount compatibility
Disadvantages: Mac adapter for Mac operating platform

I like LG L1710S because its slim profile and wall-mount compatibility. So, the LG L1710 makes a perfect addition to any ergonomically conscious household. I can see an accurate images and easy-to-read text because this 17-inch TFT LCD has a 1,024 x 768 and 0.264 mm dot pitch, which combine with a 450:1 contrast ratio and 250 cd/m2 of brightness to deliver crisp. Wide 160-degree horizontal and 140-degree vertical viewing angles, -5-degree to +30-degree ...
...brightness, contrast, color, and H/V position with the user friendly onscreen menus. I am using the LG L1710S for my Mac operating system platforms. That is ok but I have to spend some money for Mac adapter required. Finally, the LG L1710S is a great of TFT LCD. ... Read review
