Good Midrange GPS
Review of Magellan Maestro 4250 by bboothe83

Advantages: Widescreen, Touchscreen
Disadvantages: Price

This product gets the job done, but there are a few shortcomings. First; you are unable to transfer address information from your computer to the GPS. Second; Voice command is limited to a few commands, which are convenient; Third; I found it difficult to navigate the website for map updates. Customer service numbers are not available on the web sight so its frustrating to figure things out. Fourth: Make sure you have your car charger with you. Battery ... Read review

GSx60 - handy companion
Review of Garmin GPSMAP 60 by Example_superstar123

Advantages: size, userfriendly, all-purpose navigation
Disadvantages: pricing for device and maps, map-activation

The Garmin GPSMAP 60 CSx is the extended Version of the GPSMAP 60 Cx. While the case is same size and format, the CSx shows up with a barometric altimeter and an electronic compass. I use it for several purposes. Traveling statistics, autorouting, topo/directions and waypoint navigation are those functions I mainly use. The intuitive interface helps to use the software without having to read the manual. A basemap is installed ex factory, with the ...
...on 'bad roads'). Unfortunately, Garmin doesn't offer a mounting for motocycles, so I had to get a 3rd party retainer from Europe (Touratech) The CSx 60 runs with 2AA batteries. Using powercables (not delivered), the device is able to run with external powersources (carbatteries) and is also able to deal with AA-rechargable batteries (has to be activated if you want to use it). All in all, the CSx60 with the right maps and accessories is a great ... Read review

Decent GPS
Review of Magellan Maestro 3250 by bboothe83

Advantages: Price, Where Am I Feature
Disadvantages: Power Source is Low Quality

My top three favorite features are: 1. It says the street name. Lots of models will just tell you to turn in "approximately .2 miles", which can get really tricky in a residential area, especially because the gps is accurate only within around 50 feet, so estimating .2 miles can be rough. 2. "Where am I?" Ever find a hole-in-the-wall restaurant you love, or a grocery store with perfect produce? With this feature, the gps can actually pinpoint your ...
...book. Also a great feature if your car breaks down and you need someone to bring you some gas. 3. AAA locations. I love this. Especially useful for snowy days when you need to stay at a hotel in some podunk town you never would have thought to make a reservation in. As a AAA member, I'm extremely satisfied with this feature, although it's useful to nonmembers too. ... Read review

TomTom GO 720 - A great Unit
Review of TomTom GO 720 by bobbyb0322

Advantages: Ease of use, aux power cord, computer addon's
Disadvantages: Scrolling through the map is difficult.

I bought my TomTom Go 720 about a year ago. I have had great luck using it and really like it alot. It is very easy to use and the menu navigation is very easy. The screen is easy to see night or day with the great feature to change the colors at night to prevent night blindness. I like the fact that you can hook it up to the computer and download places of interest such as restaurant locations to airports. You can also download member corrections ... Read review

Advantages: Great quality, clear screen, easy to use, all out exceptional
Disadvantages: NONE! :D

...want, I really love this Magellan Maestro 4200 GPS receiver. This has been one of my best purchases in the past year, the screen is nice and clear, the street names are always correct, it will redirect you if you happen to take the wrong turn some where. It also announces out loud where you should go, so you can safely drive with your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. The design in itself is even really nice, it's sleek and compact and ... Read review
