I bought this camera about 14 months ago and mode a couple of thousands photos with it so far. 6 mega pixel doesn't sound much, but is definitely enough. Who honestly ever makes printouts lager then 24x16"? But the "disadvantage of the low number of pixels make some other advantages possible: ISO3200 with very low noise, smaller, usable picture files etc. Also the Share Reduction being built into the camera instead of the lenses (like Canon does) ... It has a great design, with a blue lens which really helped to enhance all the pictures and images I took while hiking and all the edges were clear, there was no blur or pixelated edges, everything was clean and crisp! I am a fine artist who uses the Rebel XTI to shoot photographs of my large scale paintings. The color and overall contrast of each image is superb. I then upload the images into photoshop and make size adjustments and rarely have to make color corrections. It is a great camera and worth every penny.
