My new Pentax after 25 years of my Pentax live
Review of Pentax K100D by LLSmurf

Advantages: shake reduction in body, high ISO, low noise
Disadvantages: no automatic ccd cleaning

I bought this camera about 14 months ago and mode a couple of thousands photos with it so far. 6 mega pixel doesn't sound much, but is definitely enough. Who honestly ever makes printouts lager then 24x16"? But the "disadvantage of the low number of pixels make some other advantages possible: ISO3200 with very low noise, smaller, usable picture files etc. Also the Share Reduction being built into the camera instead of the lenses (like Canon does) ... PENTAX K200D
Review of Pentax K200D by ardor745

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

Pentax K-10D
Review of Pentax K10D by nickdunny

Advantages: Price, Built-In Image stablization, quality, weather-proofing,
Disadvantages: Kit Lens is bad. Has a learning curve.

...had not heard much about Pentax Digital, but after hearing all the hype I decided to give it a try. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. At first I was a little overwhelmed with all of the buttons and options. I actually was about to send it back, but after reading the manual a few times and surfing the forums, I kinda figured things out. There are a lot of options to do one thing. So its really however you want to operate the camera. I think ...
...the price and the quality. It is a very sturdy and heavy. Something you get out of $1000+ cameras, but for $700. I was also pleased with the built -in image stabilization. I can shoot at much slower speeds without a tripod, maybe 2 f-stops. I rarely require a tripod unless it is night or studio. Overall I would highly recommend this camera to the amateur and professional alike. ... Read review

Pentax K20D
Review of Pentax K20D by aslort745

Advantages: its quality
Disadvantages: something expensive

Replacing the K10D as flagship digital SLR Pentax, the K20D packs a 14.6-megapixel sensor in a dust-resistant housing. The K20D has a live view LCD (increasingly common in digital SLR), which provides that before were not available flexibility of shooting angles. One of the most interesting features enabled by the live view LCD display is the 4x to 8x digital zoom. Normally we avoid any type of digital zoom, but when drawing up a shot with an LCD ... My Review
Review of Nikon D50 by fivekids7

Advantages: Great pictures,
Disadvantages: Big and difficult to carry when busy

This is a great camera for taking pictures. I love the flexibility I have with this camera, and that it takes the pictures so quickly that I can't tell the difference between this and a regular SLR. I love it... I have 5 children and use it all the time. I bought this camera wanting to use it with the extra lenses and even with the regular lens have been extremely happy with the pictures I have taken. This is a camera I would recommend to anyone ...
...normal use or for a more professional looking picture. The only downfall with this camera is the size and it is not a camera you can easily carry when you are busy, but for planned events it is a great investment. I have used this camera to take pictures of my children and even though I am not experienced I have been happy with the results. However if you are looking for a camera to carry with you, you may want to check into something smaller. ... Read review
