Disadvantages: There are none that I have found to date.

Love this camera! 3rd Canon Powershot I've bought. Great ZOOM with good Pixel for vacationing. Right price and quality. I've used several of my photo's from this camera to blow up for crystal clear LARGE prints. The battery charge is fairly decent. No need for special batteries. Just use regular AA batteries.
