I use this camera frequently, and it has yet to let me down. For a consumer camera, it serves its function extremely well. It's sleek, sexy, and it's quite the value for its price. Color is pretty good if you're in the right lighting, and the flash works well in smaller areas. As far as features, they're very good. The Best Shot feature is very handy, as it provides presets for specific types of shooting scenarios, such as portrait, scenery, candlelight ...

Panasonic's Lumix DMC TZ5. A camera with an exceptional optical zoom of 10x (degital zoom 4x), 3 inch screen, and 10.7 megapixel resolution pictures. Combine with its classy silver and black design, it seems outstanding. Seems outstanding - in reality, it's not. I am not satisfied at all with this camera. ...not to me. Sony Cybershot DSC W300 also have a extra-high speed mode that can take 5 pictures in one second (at the cost of 3 megapixel resolution each). In my opinion, it's the best thing after it's 13.6mp resoluion. Even if you don't need it to take pictures of fast moving things, it's fun to watch the camera take pictures so fast. I love doing that , just using the function and watch the images zoom by. Batteries are pretty long-lasting in this ...
...high speed mode uses battery pretty quickly - but i've never held any experiements. Normally, batteries lasts for a few days with around 30 minutes usage each day. Final thing - it's price : a smashing $300 . It wasn't something that concerned me (I practically get all my electronics free from my uncle's company), but it might and I'm pretty sure it will, concern some people.
