Canon PowerShot A650 IS - A true new Milestone
Review of Canon PowerShot A650 IS by
scitebunny213
Advantages: 12.1 Mega pixel - crystal clear, excellent quality,
Disadvantages: A bit on the Big and Heavy side.
Canon strikes again with the brilliant digital camera Canon PowerShot A650 IS! With an outstanding 12.1 megapixel resolution, that's solid proof that all your pictures will be perfectly crystal clear. It's 6x optical zoom is also a powerful function. I could take a picture of something a block away and still make it seem like it's right in front of me! And If that's not enough, (I can't imagine how it's not enough, but who knows) Canon PowerShot ... ...always convert them. Canon PowerShot A650 IS uses 4 AA batteries each time. The batteries last quite a while too. For me, while using PowerSurge brand batteries, it lasts around 130 good pictures, with around 100 pictures deleted (yes, I'm a big fan of only keeping the good picture). There's plenty of flash modes to choose from for those who understand how to use flash (I don't, but it's perfectly fine that way too.)
The built in memory is 32MB, ...

Canon Powershot G9 - A camera worth having
Review of Canon PowerShot G9 by
jasonlead
Advantages: 12.1 megapixels, hot shoe, auto ISO setting for novices, 6 x optical zoom, shoot in RAW
Disadvantages: Slow shutter speed, battery length quite short
This is a great overall compact camera with a high standard of 12.1 megapixels. The camera enables you to shoot in RAW for easy editing. It is quite an easy to use camera but at first it takes a novice a while to get to grips with it.
Manual and custom shooting settings are present which enable you to do some pretty serious portraits. A hot shoe is on the top of the camera so you can mount an external flash - great for low-light photography!
There ... ...be produced. I have found this particularly useful when using a tripod.
The camera has a 6 x optical zoom which is more than enough in my opinion for a compact camera. If you want the camera to be more telephoto then an external lens may be attached.
One drawback I have found is that the shutter speed is not quite as fast as in standard SLR cameras. ...

CANON POWERSHOT
Review of Canon PowerShot SD950 IS Digital ELPH by
corazon124
Advantages: very good pictures
Disadvantages: very expensive
As has become tradition in the Digital Elph line, the top model, SD950 IS included, sports a rugged titanium body. The right side has a slight inward curve to provide a comfortable grip. With your middle finger in that nook and your pointer finger on the shutter button, your thumb naturally rests on the left of the mode dial, which slopes downward to the left and positions so your thumb rests solidly between it and the raised edge surrounding the ... ...the rest of the camera's buttons, except for the on/off button located to the left of the shutter and its surrounding zoom ring. The play button is recessed a little more than I'd normally like, but that's probably to prevent accidental presses, which never occurred during my field tests, and I didn't have trouble pressing it when I wanted to. ...

Excellent compact
Review of Fujifilm FinePix F50fd by
jutyu745
Advantages: picture quality with low luminosity
Disadvantages: little zoon
bought a couple of weeks ago this machine and after making several hundred photos I am very satisfied. Poseía the fine F31fd but I fell from the balcony and I had to buy another. I was watching and checking many models, while I read and understood mchos opinions of others. The image of this room, compared with the F31 which is where he and the entire world as the best performance with low light, is excellent. In some low-light photos with the other ... ...very difficult to notice the difference. Under normal light noticeable improvement is thanks mainly due to mechanical stabilizer and improvements in domestic settings on the camera (I suppose that is why). In my opinion it is better that the F31fd camera. It might be even better if the increase so large megapixels (must not forget that 12) had also enlarged the sensor that was primarily the advantage he had with the rest of the compact. Even so the ...

Great Little Digital Camera
Review of Olympus FE-350 by
rotz123
Advantages: Face detection technology, compact size
Disadvantages: xD Picture Cards storage not included
...my activity. With my experience, Olympus FE-350 is the perfect little camera. It is easy to use, easy to thrown in my pocket and take with me. The wide angle lens really comes in handy; the other reason that I choose this camera. The colors really seem to pop in the pictures that I have taken so far, very easy to learn and use camera.
I love the "Face Detection" feature. Even if my subject is moving, the camera continuously tracks my subject's face ...
