Advantages: Cheap, runs well even with many applications open, much much better than size and price Disadvantages: Sometimes applications crashes, suddenly turns off when you touch power cord
This Mac mini is for people who want a Mac, but can't afford one. It's about $600, half the price of an iMac. But, unlike the price and the size, it unbelievably works well. I have had this about over an year, and it's still perfect. I ran Flash CS3, Photoshop CS3, Safari, and iWeb all at once, and it still worked great. Sometimes, not often though, an application crashes (suddenly quitting or not responding). But that doesn't effect you much. Also, ...

Advantages: Fast, easy to use, intuitive and no Vista, no viruses, no big ugly box Disadvantages: haven't found any yet...
I am totally sold. I had toyed with the idea of an HP Desktop and went to Best Buy fully intending to buy one. Then the sales guy led me to the Mac section. After a Mac convert talked to me for 15 minutes, I was hooked. No viruses? Instant wireless! No big box! Giant screen! Beautiful graphics, all kinds of built in software, very intuitive. It had been years since my first mac (a quadro way back in 1990) but this is a whole new world. I got it home, ... ...- that is it). I am off and running. I bought a 500 gig external hard drive to do live backups and to transfer my data from my old laptop. I couldn't be happier. It is lightning fast, easy to use just out of the box. I can't wait to make video productions from my photos. Oh and even better -- no Vista. ...

Advantages: Fast, reliable, double layer disk drive. Disadvantages: An occasional freeze up.
I purchased the Emachines T3958 four or five years ago, and it is still the best computer in our house. We have two desktop computers and three laptops in our home, but the T3958 is everybody's favorite.
I bought my computer at Circuit City. Trust me, I am not a computer geek, so I welcome the aid of a knowledgeable sales clerk. They patiently walk around with me while I ask questions about different computers. Then, based on my needs, I make a ... ...is how I picked the Emachines T3958.
It has an Intel Celeron D340 processor, 512 MB memory, double layer drive, and 80 GB hard drive. (For further details, please see the product description).
We all use this computer everyday. I use it for my business and for writing reviews. My daughters use it for school, music, and Myspace. My husband uses it to look at investment property, research home improvement projects and for Nascar.com.

Advantages: Beautiful display, speedy processor, stable and reliable operating system. Disadvantages: Only 1GB of RAM standard, non-upgradable video card, glossy display may become irritating.
The 2.4 GHz iMac is Apple's low-end version of its popular all-in-one desktop computer line, though in actuality, there's nothing very "low-end" about it. It has a built in 20" glossy widescreen display, a very fast Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a gigabyte of RAM standard, 3 USB ports (plus two more on the keyboard), a FireWire 400 and 800 port for faster peripherals, built-in wireless and Bluetooth, an included keyboard and mouse, and a FrontRow remote ... ...may want to consider upgrading off the bat is the RAM, as 1GB may not fully satisfy your needs if you're going to use your iMac for audio/video work. The iMac can support up to 4GB of RAM, which is really more than any average consumer would need by today's standards, but as technology is rapidly growing and software is becoming more and more sophisticated, that 4GB capacity will come in handy in the future.
The ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics card ...
