This is an excellent deep fryer to have. It is very cool on the outside and it stays that way. It does not even take long to heat up and to get the food cooked in it. This is a very nice deep fryer with lots of features. The plastic even stays cool as you are using it cook. It does not take too long to heat up the oil to do your cooking in. It even has a nice lid on it that you can close. It does not take long for the food to get done once you put it in. My mom has this deep fryer and she likes it. She said that the food always comes out tasting good and the fryer is easy to use. She feels that the cleanup could be easier but then again most fryers are messy. She like the fact that it comes with a lid so that she can reuse her oils and she does not have to throw them out each time. This fryer was a gift from my father whom has now past away. It is a fun little gadget to have. It keeps oil fresh as the lid is air tight. So, it is very convienant to use at a moments notice. It has a basket that can be easily raised and lowered in the oil and is dishwasher safe. It also has digital settings on it and some preset settings on it to fry just about anything you want which leaves out the guess work. My kids love cooking french fries ...

...unit. Might as well flush $89 down the toilet. I am on my third unit and it has happened every time. I recommend avoiding this machine until DeLonghi replaces the plastic bracket with a more durable metal one. With that change, I would give this unit a clear five stars. ... Read review
