Great screen but subpar speaker
Review of AT&T SYNC By Samsung by Zoar

Advantages: Excellent resolution screen, Nice memory size, decent buttons, decent quality camera
Disadvantages: Games/apps have to be d/led over phone network to be installed, subpar quality speaker

In the past, I have been pleased with Samsung phones. Not the highest end phones, but dependable and seemingly well made. I had my eye on this phone for a while before I bought it. Pros: Great looking screen. Best I've seen, without a doubt, for this price level of phone. (free-$80) Nice sounds when navigating the phone. Feels substancial when held. Has 30 Meg built in memory, with a micro SD slot, which I have a 1 gig SD card in. (Small print in ...
...SD card. I was about to buy a 2 gig before I read this, but 1 gig should be enough for me) This is a great phone if you do a lot of text messaging or games. The 2.0 megapixal camera works pretty well. The pictures aren't as clear as my old 2.1 MP sony camera, but very good for a camera phone. There are a lot of settings you can set for the phone, and video. The battery seems to have a good life. I don't talk too much on it, and only had to charge ... Read review

FIREFLY FLUNKS!
Review of Firefly by digga79

Advantages: cute phone for kids
Disadvantages: too costly

...that, the phone was cute, it worked as good as you can ask for a phone with such limited capabilities, and it was perfect for my young child. However, after 6 months, I ended up purchasing a real phone for her and now the firefly is broke in my home. ... Read review

Great phone!
Review of LG L1400 by jules86

Advantages: Durable; flip phone; camera; color screens
Disadvantages: No speakerphone

This is the most durable cell phone I have ever used. Three and a half years after purchasing it, the phone is still working perfectly. I've thrown this phone, dropped it, fallen on it, and had several other accidents. The mini screen on the front cracked but still functioned perfectly - no water damage or blurred picture or anything. The main buttons and screen are intact and working as well as they did on day one. The back cover has never fallen ...
...phone camera, they are best viewed when small. The built-in antenna is nice, because it gives the phone a smooth, rectangular shape. The internet access on the phone is not as clear and perfect as on some of the newer phones, but for simple address look-ups and such, it does the job well. The battery life for both calling and standby is excellent. My only complaint with this phone would be that it does not have a speakerphone. ... Read review

Great Phone for basic uses
Review of Motorola L2 by critical_consumer

Advantages: Incredibly slim
Disadvantages: Because of the slimness and smoothness, falls out of my pocket easily.

This is my second phone by motorola. This particular model is the stripped down version of their music playing phone. Features: The phone does not play music, and it does not take pictures. There is internet capability but I do not use it. Menus: I love using going through the menu with this phone. Everything just makes sense, for example if I were typing in a number to dial, I can also save that number into the phone book on the spot. The call ...
...use the phone mainly for just calls and nothing else. And for this purpose it works well. There is one thing I don't like about the phone. The size and shape of the phone (very slim and very smooth). The phone has fallen out of my pocket incredibly often. When I'm sitting in the car it'll slide out. I find this phone excellent for basic use and if that's all you need from a phone, then this would be an excellent choice. Otherwise, if you need the ... Read review

Standard- not exceptional in any way
Review of Motorola MOTORAZR V3xx by rainbocow

Advantages: easy to use, attractive design, has mp3 player
Disadvantages: key design make it hard to type, no usb cord or sd card included

I have enjoyed this phone, definitely, but I will be glad when I have the opportunity to upgrade to a new one. It has an mp3 player, and the speaker quality is surprisingly good. The problem is that the speaker is on the BACK of the phone so you have to lay the phone upside down to prevent it from being muffled. Needless to say this is a bit awkward and really not very good for the screen. Small problem but annoying nonetheless. The phone comes packaged ...
...simply has a charger. For a phone that so many features, it is quite disappointing that they couldn't be bothered to include either of these things with the initial purchase. Especially since a lot of other phones have that and more. You also have to buy both of these things if you plan to listen to music since there is no internal memory for music storage. The buttons are the most annoying feature on this phone. There is no real tactile feedback, ... Read review
