Small a/c lotsa power!
Review of Fedders A6X05F2E by
SheGrizz
Advantages: digital display and remote
Disadvantages: doesnt also have heat
This is a nice sleek , compact and simple to use little a/c window unit. It is very easy to use with a digital display, plus a remote, which comes in handy in middle of night if power goes out. When it comes back on you do not need get up, just use your remote!!!!! It has a sleek and attractive design, pleasing to look at. Not like those huge clunky a/c units u need hide behind curtain when not using. It has a reusuable and washable filter screen ... ...and wash it, then throw back in! Super easy!!! Whover thought of that was a genious!!! Purchase price was not bad and unit seems durable so i should enjoy it for many years!! It is supreising strong for that size unit and I reccomend it! I give a 2 thumbs up!! ...

This A/C Fails To Impress
Review of Haier America HWF05XC7 by
bigwerd07
Advantages: Cheap Price
Disadvantages: Noisy, Freezes Over, Not Much Cooling Power
I currently live in the state of Washington, where the state-wide theme of housing is to not have an installed air conditioner. Thats not even close to a problem for 95 percent of the year when it is raining, cold, and miserable outside. However, when it does get hot in the summertime, the temperature in my house goes up to 80+ degrees, which is very uncomfortable for me.
Fans are ok when I am sleeping, but to really cool the house down, I decided ... ...spend a lot on one, and this particular model was only 100 dollars. I bought it from Home Depot, along with some plexiglass to fill the gap that would be left from the window being open.
I have been using this A/C for aver a year, and I use it whenever the house gets too hot for comfort. There are a lot of issues I have with it. The first and biggest issue I have is how loud the unit is. Within an hour of use, water builds up inside the unit and ...

Sunpentown SF-608R - Good for anything
Review of Sunpentown SF-608R by
scitebunny213
Advantages: All
Disadvantages: not for big rooms.
In my opinion, Sunpentown SF-608R isn't much of an air conditioner - more like a cold/cool fan. It's ideal to put it in places that the regular central air conditioner can't reach/or you want to save electricity because you're the only one in the house and there's no need to have the central AC blasting. It's also good for apartment buildings. Personally, I like to use it for the kitchen - where electricity for AC will be wasted because the windows ... ...The Sunpentown SF-608R doesn't do much for a big room - it took the Sunpentown SF-608R around 2 hours to cool down my living room fully. But for smaller rooms, it does wonder. The Sunpentown SF-608R have wheels on the bottom - you can change its location anytimg it doesn't suit you. It's not very heavy and even I can lift it. There's a remote control that allows you to control it from a few meters away. It have a 10L tank and uses regular water. ...
