Advantages: Gets into hard-too-vacuum places
Disadvantages: Gets stuck on stuff occaisonally

My husband bought this on a whim (this is normal for him!). I thought he was crazy. As it turns out, it is WONDERFUL! Goes right under the bed and gets all the dust bunnies that you can't reach with the regular vacuum. The only problem we had with it is that it gets stuck on the furnace registers.
