Yamaha CDC 755 CD changer

The groundbreaking Yamaha CDC-755 is setting the standard for CD convenience. For faster automatic disc change and track access, the table of contents of each disc is memorized so it does not have to be re-read each time the disc is selected. Most CD changers allow you to program which tracks you want to hear and in what order. But with the CDC-755's Program file feature, you don't have to do this task every time you listen to the disc. For as many as 100 discs, the order you set is programmed for automatic playback each time that disc is loaded. Yamaha Pro-bit translation provides the reproduction of 20-bit playback from a 16-bit CD for greatly improved accuracy that is more faithful to the original performance. The increase in fidelity is 16 times from 16-bit to 20-bit playback. The tape edit capability allows to input the tape length, then select the tracks you want to record. Yamaha's CD Changer will automatically arrange the selections to best fit onto your tape. The Peak Search feature checks the peak levels of your source and allows you to set the optimum recording level, ensuring the new recording will include the dynamics of the original without distortion for the best recording possible. 10 key direct access allows you to access each track by the touch of a button on remote and front panel. Variable output jack allows volume control when used with power amplifier that does not have volume control. Yamaha-developed single-bit digital-to-analog converter operates with exceptionally high precision for clear reproduction at all frequency and volume levels. Intelligent Digital Servo system adjusts tracking, focus, and motor speed to compensate for disc defects, warpage or dust. Yamaha patented PlayXchange lets you see and exchange four discs while the fifth continues to play. Also serves to isolate the carousel tray from resonance or vibration, ensuring excellent playback quality. All relevant information on operating status is clearly visible on the front panel display. It has three levels of illumination that can be adjusted for your preference: Full - - for normal viewing, Half Dim, and Auto-off during play. Synchro Start capability allows one button recording from remote control. You'll have smooth recording starts each time because Synchro Start puts the deck into the record mode before starting CD play.
