Advantages Quick, apparently quiet. Disadvantages Only on DVI converter, 2 slot design may not suit all.
...My experience of this card is currently only short lived as i only received it 3 days ago, but my its a goody!
Compared to the shoddy 5 year old relic that was my old system (AMD Athlon XP 2800 with GeForce 4 Ti4600) this system wipes the floor with it (Athlon 64 x2 6000) Need for Speed Most Wanted in 1024x768 with all detail levels whacked to the max! It looks beautiful, and smooth.
I was impressed that the card was very well protected in polystyrene type foam.+
This card is a 2 slotter, therefore needing plenty of space, even more so if you intend to use 2 in SLi mode.
My only gripe is the box only included 1 DVI to v-sub converter as my main monitor is still a creaky old CRT and don't have the money for a flat panel!
Luckily my old Ti4600 had 2 so i could use 2 CRT monitors if i wanted.
I must say i haven't really noticed any fan...
