Range not long enough
Review of D-Link Wireless G Router WBR-1310 - wireless router by aston50

Advantages: easy install
Disadvantages: very short range

The D-Link WBR-1310, to put it simply is a terrible product. It is one of the cheaper routers out there, but even with a low price it is not worth a purchase. Personally, I got this router for free with my laptop (my guess being that they were trying to get as rid of as many of these worthless things as they could). Now let me get to the specifics. I keep this router in my basement, because I can easily set it up with my internet from there. When ...
...home and I use the D-Link to connect it to the internet. However, when I check my NAT tpe it turns out to be type 3. To fix this I had to go to my router settings and open up some of the ports so that the PS3 can work properly online. So, I put in all the ports and that, and my NAT type is still type 3. What's even worse is that the D-Link has a special "gaming mode". All it saysis that if I have a game console connected, I should tick off the box ... Read review

Review of Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54G - wireless router by lifesaving

Advantages: cheap and dependable
Disadvantages: none

...was another model. The Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54G is a superb router for your internet connection. It actually increases the speed of your internet from the way I look at it despite the fact that I am not a computer geek, I could really feel the difference. Due to this, I could say that what I bought is more than what I paid for. The Price - well this comes cheap. Very much affordable. The price is very much reasonable. Set up ...
...computer and internet setting, I was afraid that I would not be able to set it up properly. But voila, in just about 10-15 minutes, I had it working already. Connectivity - Presently there are 3 laptops at home and 1 desktop. Its amazing that you can easily connet to them right away. One desktop of mine can be connected through a wire, and there are still 3 additional slots for 3 more wired connection. Security - security is easy to set up, since ... Read review

Internet Wireless
Review of NETGEAR WG111 Wireless-G USB 2.0 Adapter - network adapter by chrome

Advantages: wireless
Disadvantages: sometimes low speed

At first I was skeptical, not that I could work ... At home my phone is fixed on the ground floor and the pc the first floor. I have to spend a lot of money to get internet (cable or wireless equipment expensive) when I informed about the possibility of exploiting or not the wireless modem on my phone, I said that enough to buy this stick from 40 € ($ 55). To my pleasure I have verified that it works perfectly, I never drop the phone line, the installation ...
...the PC automatically searches for the signal and if the modem is turned on it connects: done. No matter how many walls, doors closed, phones and TV are among us, I can navigate safely is incredible, really a good buy. The package includes a USB cable for direct it better and sticker to paste your computer no longer move them. The only thing is that when checking signal strength is low, and has never improved, so I do not know if he can get better ... Read review

Review of Linksys Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link WRT350N - wireless router by infinitiwellt

Lynksys router is my favorite. It is my present router. It has good performance. It does not give me any problem so far. I have four desktop connected to it plus one wireless laptop. A very good router for everyday use!
Review of Linksys Compact Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54GC - wireless router by uheaven

Advantages: 4 Ports, Compact, Good Range for Homes
Disadvantages: Range not Good enough for Corp. or long range use, Light moves

This is my current router which is connected with: * My Desktop (Wired) * My SIP ATA (Wired) * My Laptop (Wireless) * My PSP (Wireless) * My PS3 (Wireless) It serves the purpose of a Home Router perfectly and easily. The best point is the compactness you can literally put this thing in your jeans pocket! It has 4 LAN Ports, 1 Internet Port. There are seven Lights in the front : Power, Internet, Wireless, and the 4 Wired Connections. One disadvantage ...
...For example, if the LAN 2 light is blinking, it also effects the LAN 3 light, which is sometimes confusing. Another thing is the range, Its not that much, but of course, as this router is meant for homes, the range is excellent enough for using it in even large or two-storey homes. Well, Overall it is pretty good for Normal Use in homes, with the strong point of compactness. ... Read review
