This dryer was given to my daughter and son in law. I live with them. We all use it. The matching washer was also a gift at the same time.
This Whirlpool electric dryer opens to the side with a left hand opening. It is white. Easy to read and understand controls.
There are five automatic cycles including energy preferred, tumble press, fluff air, automatic, timed, with cool down cycles one the higher heat cycles. I don't know the specifics on this dryer but I do know that I can dry three blankets at a time on the lower heat cycle and they come out soft and dry.
We are a household of four and I myself, do at least three loads per week. It always does an excellent job. It seems like at least one person is doing laundry every day of the week! I like to use the lowest setting cycle. With knit tops and sweaters, this is the safest cycle to use. It doesn't take any longer than the other cycles to dry and my clothes always come out soft, fluffy and wrinkle free.
The lint trap is on top with a screen that pulls out completely so you can clean it without getting lint all over the place. I also like the timed drying for throwing in a blouse or jacket or whatever it is, to get dog hair off and to take out the little wrinkles that appear while it's hanging in a closet. That's only a 10 minute spin and it does the trick. A fabric softener sheet thrown in during this quick fluff job also freshens the article.
It runs quietly. And being right across the hallway from my bedroom, I know it doesn't keep me from sleep if it is running at night.
I have used gas dryers before. Some people prefer them but I think this dryer runs just as well as any gas dryer I have used. Gets the job done!
After almost two years of constant use, I would recommend this dryer whole heartedly to anybody wanting a good, dependable dryer.
