[ aka We Love Katamari, Katamari Damacy 2 - Action - Publisher...more ]
WE LOVE KATAMARI is the sequel to a very similar game, KATAMARI DAMACY, in which the Prince tries to appease the fans of his father, The King of all Cosmos.
Advantages: Deceptively simple, insanely brilliant Disadvantages: The chirpy music? Nah, I even liked that
...concern me in the slightest, We Love Katamari is a breath of fresh air in a couple of respects. Instead of carjacking, prostitute-burning or alien slaying, the object of the game is to roll up the whole world into some kind of New Age lovebundle.
More importantly, it's such a simple concept. As computers have become more and more advanced, game designers all seem to have raced down the blind alley of 'realism'. I play computer games with breathtakingly ... ...three hands to play.
We Love Katamari is a sequel to Katamari Damacy - a game I understand is very hard to come by in the UK. Advantages: new game each time, easy to learn, appropriate for everyone, non-violent, awesome music Disadvantages: none
I actually played We Love Katamari before the original title Katamari Damacy, and was immediately compelled to buy the original. The game is beautifully set with characters from the original game asking the King of the Cosmos a series of questions about love and life.
Your goal, as Prince, is to complete miniature missions of rolling up the universe into a ball. These balls often include animals, and even people. However live your items may be, ... ...a humorous way.
The controls are easy to master, and can be practiced in a tutorial session at the beginning of the game. Interlaced in between rolls of the game are small cut scenes that spell out a story, and gifts that add to game-play personalization.
All in all, the game never gets boring. Each time I play there are new challenges or goals to accomplish.
I highly recommend this game. ...
