My experience with the Washington Capitals has been one of thrills and chills, win and losses. I have followed them since they entered the league in 1975, and have been a loyal fan ever since. The first 10 years or so, coupled with the previous 3 before this year were lean indeed. Almost losing them in the late 80's was also a difficult pill to swallow. DC United is one of the most successful of the soccer franchises in the Major Soccer League in terms of trophies.
