Advantages: High build quality, good button placement, joysticks very responsive, lag free wireless Disadvantages: d-pad is poor, no recharge cable included
...the Xbox 360 controller. Microsoft definitely learned from their mistakes and managed to design what many believe to be the pinnacle of gaming controllers. Its not very radical or innovative in fairness, but what it does, it does very, very well. I'll be looking at the main criteria a gamer has for his must trusted of gaming tools, namely: how the controller feels and the button placement, the quality of the joysticks and its overall build quality, ... ...2 AA sized batteries and Microsoft say that the battery life is about 40 hours, but in reality I've found it to be around the 30 hour mark at the maximum. You can have the option of adjusting the vibration strength on the controller if you want to squeeze out a few extra hours from the controller though, but I would really recommend picking up the "play and charge kit" which is sadly sold separately. This is basically a cable and power pack that ...

Advantages: Good Quality,Very Accurate, Has No Cord, And Can Use It From A Good Distance Disadvantages: Batteries Can Go Dead While Gaming
...be since its an official Microsoft controller. I can get good grip on it in my hands when the gaming gets tough so I have an edge in the competition. I notice I make less mistakes online compared to my other controller confirming its accuaracy. The controller aslo has an outstanding ability to play the game from a long distance. I know its wireless but I can be sitting far back in another room on my computer and still play my games. The only bad ... ...can be playing online and the batteries will go dead. If your competive I know that means something to you. My controller has a top LB button thats almost jammed in all the way so it does not work

Advantages: Sleek and durable Disadvantages: Expensive and gobbles batteries
Unlike the old bulky xbox controllers, the xbox 360 now has these cool and sleek wireless controllers that are comfortable for most gamers. They are quite expensive ($50 a pop!) but its useful to have atleast 2 of these around the house, for when your friends come over and want to play. I have never personally had a problem with them breaking, and have been pretty good for me when it comes to reliability. The buttons respond very quickly so there ... ...to when it does your desired action (unless your lagging on live of course). Another thing these controllers do is gobble your batteries pretty fast, so buying the chargers for these controllers is a must. Who would rather spend $50 on batteries instead of a rechargeable batteries you can buy in any store like gamestop or target. Before I end this review, I would also like to say that another cool thing with these wireless controllers is that there ...

Advantages: Wireless Disadvantages: Only 270deg turning
...poorer but armed with the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel. And right off the bat, we fall in love with something cool about this peripheral: it's wireless, just like the traditional controllers. That right there is a significant plus over the DFP when used in conjunction with a PlayStation. Another boon is the integrated lap mount. Yes, I know the DFP can be had with a lap adapter, but it costs extra, and I don't remember ever seeing one ... ...dust.
Not so the Microsoft offering. Although the lap mount isn't the perfect solution, the fact that I can stash it under the sofa and be up and racing in a few seconds, along with not having to have a special setup, means it's already getting a lot more use. The DFP does have one major advantage when it comes to setup, though; the pedals have the ability to grip to the carpet, keeping them in place. There's nothing like going for the brake pedal ...

Advantages: Ergonomic design, sleek in the front, good response Disadvantages: Ugly battery pack that eats batteries like a trash compactor
...back. I wonder if they microsoft designers ever heard of lithium ion batteries before because that huge clunker of a battery pack in the back makes the sleek style of the controller look like there is a tumor growing out of it. It eats batteries like crazy and has an overall flawed design on that part. Response is good and the distance from which the controller works is also very good.
Overall an average controller in my opinion. Easy to use but ...
