Advantages: A tasty twist on Brussel sprouts, and they are healthy Disadvantages: none
Brussel Sprouts are often overlooked when choosing a veggie. Here is a wonderful recipe, and it's not the same old same old boiled Brussel Sprouts. As a mattter of fact my recipe was in our local newspaper Holiday recipe section some years back. This recipe is very simple to make, and really takes no time at all to make.
1 bag frozen Brussel Sprouts ( thawed) Depending on family size, you can use a second bag as well.
1 large onion
3 tbsp. butter ... ...optional )
Cut onion in half, then cut each half into thin slices. In a skillet melt butter over medium heat. Add the onion, cook until tender and translucent, about ten minutes. Add the Brussel Sprouts, salt and pepper. Stir, then reduce heat, cover and cook. Stirring occasionally, until Brussel Sprouts are tender, about 20 minutes. Serve immediately.
Serves four.
This dish will go with any type of meat. And it is a change from plain boiled brussel ...

Mix them all together under a low fire. There would be little amount of water on the bottom of the pan, make a crater and add the salt and pepper. You could taste your mixed vegetables' right saltiness through the small amount of soup at the bottom of the pan. IF you like to sweeten it more you could add little sugar. Then add the quail eggs. ...

Advantages: Simple and very tasty Disadvantages: None
Yum, yum...this is a recipe my mom has made for years, so of course I had to add it to my recipe box. I love it, and it has many healthy items in it as well! This is another favorite among the picks at our holiday dinners and gatherings. I find this particular recipe to be great for summer, to be used with a picnic or barbeque. You will need the following ingredients:
2 heads of fresh broccoli
1/2 lb. of bacon
3/4 cup of sliced almonds
1/2 cup ... ...cup raisins
1 cup mayonnaise
Place your bacon in a deep skillet and brown on medium to high heat. Let this cool and then crumble it.
Cut your broccoli into bite-sized pieces and combine with your bacon, raisins, almonds, and mix well.
You then need to prepare the yummy dressing. Mix the mayo, sugar, vinegar, and stir until smooth. Stir this into the salad, then chill and serve.
There is nothing like eating your veggies in this manner! Enjoy... ...

.... The fresh basil sauce added on to the flavor. Unlike pesto sauce, which is quite rich and made with parmesan and pine nuts, this fresh-tasting sauce is just made with lots of basil, lemon juice and olive oil and goes perfectly well with salmon. This was a perfect treat for us.
The book is great for vegetarians as well. There are 13 scrumptious recipes, which involve lots of vegetables and various kinds of cheese.

More mouth-watering recipes in this section. They make great sidedishes to almost all the main courses given in the book. These are again divided into three sections: barbecue vegetables, salads and accompaniments and barbecue breads, with 8 to 10 recipes in each section. I haven't tried any of these but the pictures along with the recipes look quite tempting.
