...The iPaq 5550 and 5555, are essentially the same unit, and differ only in software bundle, location of sale, internal tracking. It has an integrated Bluetooth and Wifi provide the necessary backbone of connectivity that is essential in the corporate and personal space. It is also backward compatible with "old" expansion jackets.
This PDA has a cradle made up of light plastic; there is a DC jack on the rear and a non-removable cable that ends in both USB and serial connectors. The AC adapter is rated at 5 volts and 2000 milliamps of current. The DC plug adapter is a small metal and plastic connector which allows you attach the AC adapter directly to the iPaq without the cradle. The software that is included are: Outlook 2002, ActiveSync 3.7, Audible player, and a free trial of Vindigo. Bah.

You get a docking cradle with USB and Serial connectors, AC power adapter, AC power plug adapter to connect to the PDA, two styluses (one already slotted in the PDA), Quick Start Guide, and warranty documents. It also comes with a CD containing the Microsoft ActiveSync, Outlook 2002, and some other bits of software (some are only trial versions). The manual is also found on the CD in PDF format. I know some people prefer hard copies but this saves paper and probably lowers the cost a bit so I'm all for it! The manual is quite thorough and covers pretty much everything you'd need to know about the PDA including illustrations.
