Midland X-TRA TALK GXT710VP3
Review of Midland X-TRA TALK GXT710VP3 22-channel FRS/GMRS by tarheelnancy123

Advantages: Still thinking on that one...........
Disadvantages: not a lot of range

...in the set. Midland is an excellent brand and we had never had problems with their products before but it was our first experience with their brand and a two way radio. We currently own Motorola's . The problem was it had very little range no matter how we tried to tweak it. The furtherest we were able to get out was about a mile and a half and that was on all clear terrain. There were no trees, buildings, houses or hills around. Would I recommend ... Read review

easy to use
Review of Motorola Talkabout FV700R 22-channel FRS/GMRS by jabbusch-girl

Advantages: last a while and get ahold of someone that u can't find
Disadvantages: none

These 2 way radios are nice to have around the house or even if you go into a store or at the flea market. I have used mine when my husband has went out in the yard and I could not find him. This is the only way I could get a hold of him to let him know that supper was done. Or if we went to the flea market and we decided to go our own ways. Then I would go on here and find out his where abouts. I goes pretty far in getting reception. It does not ... Read review

Review of Cobra microTALK PR 260-2 WX VP 22-channel FRS/GMRS by stonecold

Advantages: goes pretty far and is clear

I have bought some of these a while ago to use. They really come in handy when I am working in the yard and can't be found. The will go pretty far in distance and they are very nice to have. When I'm in the yard cutting grass or working in the trees or doing other things. It is nice to have for my wife to get a hold of me and the reception does really well. It comes out pretty clear and the volume gets rather loud. You can also page them using this ... Read review

The best radios we have used!
Review of Midland X-TRA TALK GXT710VP3 22-channel FRS/GMRS by crazy4disney

Advantages: Excellent sound quality, great range
Disadvantages: Haven't found any yet!

...heard good things about the Midland radios from some fellow cruise enthusiasts, and decided to give them a try. They are by far the best set of radios we have used so far. We took them on our most recent cruise in February, and had great success with them. The sound is crisp and clear, and with all the sub-channels we never had a problem with cross-talk onboard the cruise ship. Even with all the metal on the ship, we had no trouble communicating ...
...The talk time on a battery charge was exceptional -- we would have our radios on from morning 'til night, and never went below two or three bars. Then we would just pop them into the included charger, and they would be set to go again the next morning. They have a sturdy build, and easy-to-use features. I recommend these radios to anyone! ... Review of Motorola Spirit HP-VHF 10-channel VHF by wizzard308

Advantages: Ease of use and excellent performance
Disadvantages: none experienced

I have used the Motorola Spirit HP-VHF 10 channel radio in the field while doing security work. It performs great, has good quality sound and strong signal. Its a rugged radio that can take the abuse of every day work and keep on ticking. The radio has a good transmit range and clear crisp audio and transmits great even inside buildings. When you need to get crucial messages through the Motorola Spirit comes through and performs. Battery life on ... Read review
