My uncle had went out and purchased this to help him when taking pictures of the nature and of animals. That way he could position it any way that he wanted to with out actually holding the camera. Especially since he was trying to capture pictures of some deer and all. He just did not want to scare them away with him standing there to take their picture. This is very nice to have to put your camera on to take some self pictures with a timer. It want move and will capture very nice pictures. You can adjust it really well so it is at you level. Which is very good. You are able to either stand ot sit down when taking your picture.
