Gain star topology reliability and flexibility by using the PowerStar III active repeater to convert your network's twinax daisy chain topology to an unshielded twisted pair star topology. It provides true start sequence regeneration and line synchronization. Each port has separate transceiver circuitry and is isolated from the other ports, so disconnecting or removing one device does not affect the other devices. It automatically compensates for speed differences among 5250 devices. Host and device connections use RJ-45 connectors.
