Manufacturer's product description
Remarkably space saving and affordable, this 13-inch combination is a dream come true. It comes with a unified remote control and is surrounded by a sleek gunmetal gray cabinet. The keys are intuitively positioned and there's fast access to volume and channel controls. Contrast, brightness, tint, color and sharpness adjustments are readily available for top viewing pleasure. Featuring Front A/V Jacks, this "camcorder friendly" component is designed for transferring and editing film, putting home movies onto VHS Tape as well as playing video games. High-Speed Rewind and Fast-Forward, a timesaving advantage, rewinds and fast-forwards a complete tape in half the usual time - about 2.5 minutes for a typical movie. Not only are Toshiba TV/VCR combinations are pleasure to operate - they're smart too. With 3-language on-screen displays, you can make the most of your TV capabilities - in English, Spanish, or French. For added life-style convenience and energy conservation, the On/Off Timer lets you program the television to automatically turn itself on and off at specified times - and you can choose anywhere from 10 minutes to six hours. When loading or unloading a videocassette, a polypropylene cleaning pad makes brief contact (less than 1/10th of a second) with the head drum assembly, absorbing any magnetic particles and residues that may have been deposited by old or worn out videocassettes. During timer event programming there are tree tape speed options: SP, SLP, and AUTO. In the AUTO setting, the VCR computes the sum of all timer event programming and then calculates the tape remaining on the cassette in order to determine actual recording speed. The purpose for the AUTO mode is to record at the SP speed for as long as possible (to maintain optimum picture quality). At the appropriate point in the recording process the VCR automatically switches to the SLP speed to complete all timer event recording.
