The Toshiba HD-A3 HD-DVD player is EXCELLENT. You can hardly tell the difference between hi-def dvd's and regular dvd's because it up converts them to almost equal quality. The only downside I have found is the loading time, but the far superior picture and sound quality is well worth the minute or two it takes to load. I had bought an RCA upconvertor but ended up returning it due to the sub-par picture quality and problems with the door hanging ... ...and only then would they be worth buying. I'd give the Toshiba a 5 star rating, out of a possible 4 stars!!! In closing I'd like to say "thank you" to Toshiba for making such a superb machine at such an affordale price. Thanks,
