I love movies and all kinds of them but my all around top ten are as follows:

1. Lord of the Rings trilogy - A Tolkien classic. If you read The Hobbit when you were younger this is the story that happens after. Amazing characters, scenery and acting. Well thought out and detail was not overlooked. Even though the books are better I was still in love with this trilogy of movies.

2. The Wizard of Oz - The classic of all classics. Every little kid watches this movie with amazement and then can't wait to see it again. A young girl who ends up in a strange land and meets a tin man, lion man, a live scarecrow and meets the wizard himself after a long journey through unique and amazing lands.

3. The Incredibles - Oh my goodness - I know that this is an animation movie and made for kids but I loved it. Adventure galore and never-ending laughs! This move is great to watch with kids or without. You'll love it either way.

4. The Harry Potter series - Yes, I know this is 5 movies but I have been entranced with this series since it came out and since the story is a continuation of the one before, I consider one very long movie! About a kid who finds out has magical powers and is a descendant of some of the best, he must fight against his arch nemesis. Great friendship and fun to see how he grows up after the years go by.

5. Amistad - Truly the first movie that brought me to tears in a very long time. This is a very serious and *not for children*. The movie reviews the life of a slave who was taken from Africa and brought to America for white people to use for work. It is unforgettable, heart wrenching and moving. A must see.

6. Silence of the Lambs - Many of you are probably thinking: 'why??". Well this one is personal for me, when this movie came out my parents would not let me watch a Rated R movie because of my age. BUT they were loving the fact that I liked to read so they took me to the Library quite often. Well, I found Silence of the Lambs and read it - 6 times. I loved it - it was edge of your seat reading. Well, I grew up and finally got the chance to watch the movie, and even though the movie was no where close to as good as the book, it remained one of my favorite movies...

7. The Godfather series - If you liked The Sopranos, Godfather surpasses it ten fold. This is the ultimate story of the patriorch of organized crime. Even though these movies began back in the 70's, need not worry, the action and drama is all there and still awesome to watch.

8. Monty Python and the Holy Grail - OK, if you're not into the brit comedies this isn't a movie for you, but if you watch BBC and enjoy the dry british humour the Brits are known for that this is a classic you MUST take the time to see. A classic - 100%. Will make you laugh all the way through.

9. Indiana Jones series - I LOVE this series of movies. The most unique set of adventure movies that include one of my favorite hobbies - archaeology. This series embodies what every archaeologist would dream would happen to him. A little laughter and constant adventure you will enjoy every minute.

10. Pulp Fiction - A film for adults. This adventurous and unique movie is a classic even though it's only about 15 years old. Watch it and you wouldn't know it was that old. Most likely Quentin Tarantino's #1 film every produced!

I know it's an ecletic selection of movies - but I love all kinds of movies and these are just a few. These are the ones that pop into my head right now but I'm sure that when I walk away from the computer I'll remember a movie which will make me say 'D'oh!'.

Enjoy!
