I have several movies that come to mind. My reasons for mentioning them can be , for the fact that they have touched me. Others have thrilled me, and some have made me laugh. The movies I am going to write about , I will try to give the reasons for picking.
I am going to start with the movies that have left an impact on me.
  • 1."Cinderella Man"-
This movie is a story about one man's love for his family. He goes into the rink and boxes his way through some of the most difficult fights(challenges) of his life. This is all because he and his family have nothing, no food, or a nice place to live. They are struggling to make it. The man is desperate for help. All he is really good at is boxing. So he uses what he can to get help for him and his family. Just when his luck is down, and you think he has been defeated and there was no way he could win, he lands on top. He sacrifices the most valuable gift he has, his own life, just to save his family. Touching and heartbreaking, both.
  • 2."Grease"
Being a music and song lover, I enjoyed the movie. It is about a gang of older teens, some from the preppy style, and some from the wilder group. They are the T-birds and the Pink Ladies. Danny and Sandy, he from the T-birds, and she from the Pink Ladies are a couple. The two gangs are constantly interacting. Later the two seperate over disagreements, etc.( for a while )then they get re-united in the end of the movie. The movie ends with both Danny and Sandy riding off in a car. There is alot of silly songs, and some emotional songs. It is comical but with a lot of talent.
  • 3.Gremlins-
This is a classic "horror" story about small destructive creatures. A young boy recieves a strange pet from a store owner, which he names Gizmo. This strange but adorable looking pet carries with it strange and bizarre instructions. The instructions were that no water come in contact with this pet. That there be no bright lights around the pet, and never feed beyond midnight. Un benounced to the boy, problems and dangers also arrive. The story takes a sometimes funny but creepy side. Watch to find out.
Since I have a soft spot for animals, I loved this Gizmo character.
  • 4."Last of the Mohicans"-
Filmed in North Carolina, (where I live). It is a heart warming, love story. Packed with lots of beautiful and powerful scenery, it follows the story of the Mohican tribe. Horan tribes are also portrayed. The story tells of an American, accepted by the Chief of the Mohican tribe, and his struggles with the French and his love for Alice, a British volunteer.
The story has some historical signifigances and displays an unforbidden love affair. Watch it and you will know. Can't ruin the punchline.
  • 5."Prince of Egypt"-
Animated but resemblance of biblical events. I found it made for all ages. It tells of Moses and his ups and downs, as leader to his people(Jews) , but son to Pharoah, of Egypt. Heart warming, musical tones, and enlightment follows this film. Family will enjoy it. I loved it.
  • 6."Home alone"-
Kevin, a child who is the star of this movie, finds hisself left all alone for Christmas. Due to his lopsided family, they left him behind as they traveled to Paris for a vacation. The movie follows Kevin and all his adventures. He has a pair of clumbsy robbers that try all through the movie to catch him. Funny and you almost could put yourself in his shoes.
  • 7."Lord of theRings"-
This movie follows a previous novel called"The Hobbit". It is a fantasy where Middle Earth is inhabited by humans and humanoids(hobbits, elves, wizards), etc. One power rules them, and one ring stands in the way of good versus bad. Watch and enjoy.
  • 8."It"-
Scary movie, written by Steven King. It has seven children who need to defeat a creature called"Pennywise". This creature is demonic like and dresses in a clown outfit. I was actually scared of clowns for quite a while, because of this movie. Chilling.
  • 9."Child's Play"-
Demonic doll that kills and searches to become a real human again.
Gotta just watch, cannot give plot away.
  • 10."Spiderman"-
Well, it about a guy who because of certain circumstances becomes a superhero, possessing powers much like spiders, he can cast webs, fly from buildings and use his "Spidey senses" to capture the villians. I think everyone knows this movie. It makes you feel good, good guys win.

And that is probably the longest review I have ever wrote. There was so much to tell. Thanks for reading.
