TomTom GPS receiver

Advantages: Graphical interface is flawless
Disadvantages: None

I have owned my TomTom GPS receiver for nearly a month now and I now wonder how I ever survived without it. The interface is so clearly laid out that I genuinely feel absolutely any body could use this without any problems. I have never had any problems with roads not being found or not being able to detect which road I am currently on as I have with various other brands of GPS receivers. With the job I am in I travel all over the country to a different ...

...The Tom Tom has been a great help to us in our efforts to navigate the highways and byways. The voice system is very good and the different views are helpful in many situations, and make night driving much easier. The LCD screen is easily readable in most lighting situations. Out of the way points of interest can be a bit off kilter, especially in newly developed areas, perhaps map corrections will fix these minor problems over time, we will see. Our particular unit had a technical glitch that was later corrected by a very easily installed software download with the downloaded Tom Tom Home software. The unit's battery does not hold power for very long, so extra vehicle power points will come in handy.... Read review

Advantages: good design and function
