Receive digital terrestrial TV broadcasting (DVB-T) with all the advantages of the new technology: watch TV in top quality and whenever you want, record TV programs to your hard drive, edit and burn your recordings to DVD. All with the familiar comfort of your TV room, thanks to remote control, the electronic program guide (EPG) and teletext. The Cinergy 1400 DVB-T receives its signal from an antenna as always. Just plug in the PCI card and attach the antenna - that's it! Your TV of the future is ready. The timeshift function lets you pause shows and continue watching them at a later time. The picture format is adjusted automatically, whether for the news in 4: 3 format or for movies with a wide-screen cinema look at 16:9, either in full-screen or in a smaller window - it's up to you. The Cinergy 1400 DVB-T offers, of course, teletext, but it is faster than ever and can be controlled conveniently by your mouse. Recording is particularly simple. Use the electronic program guide (EPG) to help make a plan, program a time to record or start the recording manually. Without any loss of quality, you can cut your favorite series or blockbuster movie to your hard drive - either in MPEG-2 format or in Transport Stream format (which lets you record subtitles, too). As long as the broadcaster doesn't skimp on sound quality, your recordings will even capture Dolby Digital.
