This fryer was a gift from my father whom has now past away. It is a fun little gadget to have. It keeps oil fresh as the lid is air tight. So, it is very convienant to use at a moments notice. It has a basket that can be easily raised and lowered in the oil and is dishwasher safe. It also has digital settings on it and some preset settings on it to fry just about anything you want which leaves out the guess work. My kids love cooking french fries in it. It is about as safe to use as any deep fryer could be. The outside of the fryer is stanless , cool to the touch and easy to clean. Can be stored on countertop as a nice accessory or stored with ease.This is a nice item to own and perfect for college dorms.(That was an input from my oldest daughter. LOL )
