The AP 3020 2 Megabit Spectrum24 Access Point, from Symbol Technologies is a fully IEEE 802.11-compliant device. Double the bandwidth of the previous access point, the AP 3020 permits the throughput of more data at faster rates of transfer between hard-wired and wireless devices. The Symbol AP 3020 offers the advantages of running on distributed low power in addition to mains supply. Distributed low power enables users to run cables in the same ducting as data cables, whereas mains cables must be run separately. This benefit can substantially reduce installation costs in many applications.
