Mario, the most iconic video game character of all time stars in his latest game. This game first appeared on the nintendo 64 and was regarded as the greatest Mario game of all time. In this Nintendo DS port of the game does it live up to the greatness of the nintendo 64 version or does it fall flat on it's face.
This game contains more levels, more characters, some great touch screen mini-games and more challenge than the original. The game is very good and very fun although personaly I would have liked to see something fresh from nintendo however for all of those who have never played the original I highly reccommend it.
portable for the first time this classic requires you to complete numerous levels by running, jumping and using a whole host of power-ups to save princess peach from the evil hands of Bowser.
The main reason I chose to purchase this game was that I had never played the nintendo 64 version and this was the most convientient way of doing so. I was very pleased with the game and the game lenth is very impressive.
The only bad point is that the touch screen is an optional control scheme that doesn't work very well as it is awkward and clunky, however, other control schemes are avaliable which are much easier and should be used to fully enjoy the game.
overall this port of the nintendo 64 classic is very good and highly recommended if you have never been able to play the original however if you you have, this may be a bit of a waste of money as it is the same game just with a few extras.
