...I decided to buy this Sunpentown brand dehumidifyer. It's big, bulky, and really isn't all that great looking. The light thing that's supposed to tell you when it's full, never changed color, and I've had this thing running for close to two months straight now. I haven't noticed very much of a change in the humidity in my house, either, come to think of it. You add about a teaspoon and a half of salt to the water, I'm guessing it's to give the polutants ... ...machine? This dehumidifyer is also kind of loud. The members of my household have grown used to the noise, though anyone who comes to visit always makes a comment about it. One good thing I noticed about this dehumidifyer, is that it's somehow helping with my allergies- I stopped waking up with a runny noise and swollen face. Also, the filter is pretty easy to change, all you have to do is pull it out of the slot thing and wipe it down.
