This is a very nice working stem cleaner. It steam cleans the carpet really well. You only have to go across the carpet once and it gets every thing very nice and clean. It is really nice and quiet when you use it. It is very durable and does not tear up easy at all. It is very easy to use as well. OK..the in-laws gave this to my family which includes my daughter and son-in-law, my youngest son and me. PLUS - Two dogs, FOUR BIRDS and lots of friends. ...is recommended to use only Hoover cleaning products with the machine, and I tried using other brand solutions and it made the tank leak. I used the Hoover brand detergent the next time, and the tank didnt leak. It really pulls dirt out of your carpets, you can see it in the recovery tank. I do not--I repaet do not like this steam cleaner. I had it for about 6 months before it began to leak in the lower tank. About a month after that the upper tank lost the cork that helpd the water in it and so I had water everywhere. It did not do me any good to try and suck up the water because it would just leak out of the lower tank. The suction on the cleaner was not so great either.
