Ok,lets start.The X-Fi Surround 5.1 features the USB2.0 interface, wireless remote, analog 5.1 speaker output and EAX 4.0, X-Fi Crystalizer and CMSS-3D support. The outward design is attractive, with a big digital volume control first seen on Xmod. The bundle includes a lot of proprietory applications. Also note the opportunity to download the fully-fledged PowerDVD 6.0 (upgradable to 8.0 with a discount). The weak point is the side entrances ...

The output is obviously much more lavish with 5.1 outputs including output front left and right RCA sockets on what will delight fans of high fidelity. ...got my hands on the Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic, the lower of the 4 models and now the question to ask is was it worth the wait? ...was a bit disappointed that Creative did away with the joystick port, and added the 26 pin connector for the breakout box on the Elite Pro model. Maybe there is an adapter or something which I will have to look in to, because I used the multimedia port for my Gravis Grip Gamepad for a few different games. Also I needed a splitter for the center output jack for my RCA connection which runs to my stereo shelf system and my headphones at the same time. ... Read review

Advantages: Excellent sound, Surprisingly powerful amplifier

Installing the drivers was extremely easy. All you had to do was find a free USB port, stick in the CD, and then insert the Audio Advantage Micro into the socket when prompted. The CD includes several demo applications which are mostly useless, but are kinda fun nonetheless. There are multiple demos that let you experience the surround sound, like a helicopter game, a home theater simulation, and an Asteroids-like game. It's cool to be able to hear ...
...CD also includes demo versions of music editing software. AudioSurgeon allows you to edit music, MusicWrite allows you to compose music, and Music Producer allows you to record music.
