XS-L1035D4 subwoofer features 4 layers of wire in the voice coil, increasing magnetic gauss for faster and more accurate response, and increasing power handling capability. It has dual voice coils, double damper suspension, and gold-plated binding posts. Dual voice coil subwoofers feature a second subwoofer voice coil, providing a remarkable increase in bass response when driven properly by a dedicated amplifier. Or, connect and customize a dual voice coil sub to increase the ohm load from the amplifier; perfect for high current amps that require low-impedance loads. XS-L1035D4's rubber surround provides superior control of the woofer cone for richer bass, smoother response, and tighter performance. This speaker surround material offers improved resistance to stretching. Stroke stabilizer adds structure to the surround to prevent it from breaking up, resulting in lower distortion. Inner cap strengthens the connection between the cone and the voice coil former, adding power handling capability to the woofer. High-rigidity compound polypropylene cone exhibits low mass for good transient response, rigid structural integrity for low distortion, and high internal loss for accurate sound reproduction without excessive "ringing". This durable plastic-based material is used primarily for speaker cones due to its resistance against harsh environmental conditions, rigidity, and damping. It withstands the extremes of the auto sound environment well. XS-L1035D4 is designed for use with small sealed enclosures. A sealed enclosure will typically give tighter and more accurate bass than a ported one.
