...with the supplied earphones. When noise-cancellation is unimportant possibly dangerous, like in a factory, the feature can be switched off on the player's main menu.
If you want to use the NW-S705F strictly for blocking out noise, you need to turn on some music, though you can set the volume all the way down as the noise cancellation doesn’t work when there’s no music.

The SonyNW-S703F Noise Cancelling Walkman gives you really good quality sound and covers up any distracting sounds so it’s great to use on a plane and when running. The player itself is easy to use once you get used to the menu and shuffle ability. It looks really cool and is incredibly well made.
On the downside Sony's SonicStage software is a pain in the neck, its slow and unwieldy. Once the music is in I’d give...
