The Sony Walkman NWZ-A726 is an awesome device. I had just bought one 4 days ago and I can tell you that I am honestly very supportive of this device. It has kept me very happy for the last 4 days, starting from when I took it out of the box. It was neatly and securely placed in a box and came with an awesome set of headphones, a CD, a stand and a USB,
The sound quality was really unexpected for me. As soon as I put a song on the device it was like I was in a professional studio listening to a recording. The headphones block outside sound, but you are still able to hear what's going on around you and enjoy the music at the same time. Music is still good even at a lower quality such as 120 kbs, but 256 kbs is recommended by me. 320kbs is really good. Psst... Sound Quality is better than the Ipod! There are also many supported formats such as .wav and .mp3. One thing I really loved is the equalizer and the VPT (surround). You can set different settings such as Heavy, Classical, Jazz etc. and the VPT has different settings that make you hear the sound like if it's in a Studio, Karaoke, Live, Matrix and others.
The screen looks very nice and is a convenient size to watch videos from along with pictues. Oh, and you can flip your images and movies from Vertical to Horizontal which is really good. The quality of videos and pictures is awesome.
In my own personal opinion, the Sony Walkman comes with the best free Headphones there is. They're way better than the ones than the Apple Ipod has and are convenient to wear.
The device is very easy to use. I was able to discover and use all of it's functions in 5 minutes. I was uploading music within 10 minutes (though it should take you less time ;P) The buttons are simple to use and will not break if used normally.
One thing that I didn't like was that it seems to fragile, but that's not a problem if you take care of it well and don't drop it. It's best to put it in a case, but you don't need to. The other thing that I would have liked was at least one game on the device so you could play it when listening to music like the Ipod, but the quality is sure to keep you entertained.
The volume button is located conveniently on your right hand side so it's always at your reach. There is also a hold option that will disable you from changing songs or raising up the volume until you turn hold off.
All this on a 4 GB Flash Drive and on a device guaranteed to be made with perfection because it's made by Sony. There is a 1 year warranty and you can extend it if you wish. The product is manufactured in Malaysia.
I have been able to use this device on my old Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4. It works like a charm. It just finds the driver and treats it like a Jump Drive. You just copy and paste your Music from your Hard Drive to the Music Folder of your Sony Walkman.
This is a great device for everyone seeking a cool and device made with quality. If you're one of those who is still stuck with a CD player (like I was), this is exactly what you need. It won't let you down.
Did I mention that it's very slim and light as well?
