This is a 5 disc super audio CD player. I purchased it to replace a standard disc CD player. the sound of the super audio disc player is great. But what is amazing is the reproduction of standard CD's . I thought my DVD player did fine reproducing sound of standard audio CD's but I was wrong. This player is extraordinary I can hear sound that I didn't know was on the CD. The suppplied cables to connect to an amplifier or audio video receiver are fine. The supplied instrution booklet makes setting up and using the super audio CD player easy.
It is supplied with a remote that is small and compact, but with a problem. There is no power on/off button on the remote. While Sony may have valid reason for not including a power on/off button on the remote it does seem strange.
