Continuously Variable Crossover allows you to precisely match your subwoofer's crossover point with your main speakers output, for the most realistic response. Bass Reflex Enclosure uses a tuned opening, or "port" box design to release more energy created by the movement of the woofer cone. Because the enclosure is sized and the port is tuned specifically to the output frequencies of the woofer, it is much more power efficient, playing louder than acoustic suspension enclosures at the same input level. 8 Ohms Nominal Impedance represents the amount of resistance to the flow of current from the amplifier. While the impedance rating of this particular speaker will vary with the frequency of the input signal, an 8 ohm rating speaker is intended to work with nearly all home amplifiers and receivers.
