I previously owned a Sony CD recorder with which I was very happy, but it was damaged in a move from one state to another. I bought the RCDW500C because I figured it would be similar, which it is, except for having more drawers. There are a few other minor differences, but it essentially works the same. Unfortunately, I hadn't tried to make any CDs in a while so I'd forgotten some of the basics, and I have to agree with many of the people who have ... ...Also, I found the directions on how to connect a turntable or other outside element to the RCDW500C to be lacking and I had a little trouble doing that. Otherwise, it has performed well and I have made several fun compilation CDs so far. Once you get the basics down, this recorder is fairly easy to use. ...
